Grace was sired by CH Tapeatom Easy Rider, imported from South Africa and Canada, a prolific producer of champions across Australia. Rider was a quality black male with a pedigree rooted in Tapeatom and Sandylands lines. He was a balanced dog, moderate in all areas, with an exceptional coat and otter tail, though he could have benefited from better reach of neck.

Grace’s dam was one of our exceptional producers, responsible for some of the most decorated Morndew dogs and forming the backbone of our kennel today. With a pedigree based on Driftway lines, the breeding of Grace and her littermate Chase represented a successful line breeding.

Grace was a strong, well-boned, and well-sized pale yellow female, true to type. She had a classic Labrador head, a true Labrador double coat with ample undercoat, and the hallmark otter tail—qualities that exemplify the breed standard.

Her head was very pleasant, with good strength, correct eye shape, excellent eye color, and very good pigmentation. She had a correct ear set and size, a good reach of neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, a well-barrelled chest, and good depth of brisket.

Grace stood on strong, well-boned forelegs with slightly sloping pasterns, arched toes, strong nails, and tight, well-formed feet. She displayed a strong, level topline with a tail set level to it. Her muscling was excellent, and she had a short, strong loin with ample leg under her, giving her the correct height-to-length ratio.

Her hindquarters were powerful, with good strength, clearly defined first and second thighs, and a good turn of stifle. Overall, Grace had a very robust and well-proportioned hindquarter, adding to her balanced and athletic build.

Grace’s temperament was outstanding—soft, gentle, biddable, and adaptable to any situation. Her career highlight came when she was awarded Puppy in Show at the 2016 Labrador National held in Adelaide, South Australia, under judge Mr. Philippe Lammens.
